Addressing the low sodium issue any recipe can be low sodium you just have to cut the prepackaged products cut the salt in half or out. there are several tricks. like check all your seasoning blends and you may need to get rid of them. cook fresh foods, use garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, sage, thyme and so on, you won't miss the salt as much. I will also post a few low salt recipes.

The low cholesterol issue is not that hard either. Pick lean cuts of meat. Trim off all visible fat. Use cooking oil or non-hydrogenated margarine whenever possible instead of butter or lard. Read labels, and look for things that are low in saturated and trans fats. As far as recipes go, you can make a lot of substitutions to your favorite recipes once you understand which types of foods to stay away from. And as cooknfool says, use other herbs and spices to replace the missing salt. Don't fall into the trap of using sugar to replace salt. Some of the older cookbooks do this, and it is turning out to be not such a good idea, as we are seeing with the incidence of diabetes on the increase.
