You've probably seen the commercial - hard not to have seen it ;)
I saw the infomercial many times (hey, it's addicting!), and to be honest, it really made me want one. It just seemed to really kick ass.
For Christmas, I got one from my parents. I didn't ask for it or show any interest or mention it to anyone but I got one anyhow. I was excited and when I brought it home to use it, I was greatly disappointed.
Perhaps I am just doing it wrong, but it is absolutely horrible. I tried doing an onion, and it made it into horrible onion mush. The same with a carrot.
And you have to keep stopping it a million times and taking it out and taking out the lumps that aren't getting chopped so you can chop them later.
The only thing I found it useful for was for Parmasean Cheese.
Cleaning it is also a complete bitch. The grooves are a pain to get into.
Finally, the container really is too small, especially with the size of the blades, to do anything worthwhile.
Do you own one? What do you think of it? I'd love to be told I'm just doing something wrong and still find some use for it..
