I made this this past week. It's potica which is similiar to a nut roll. JoeV gave me the recipe and man is it good!!

How long did that stetch out before your rolled it? That's a lot of spirals.

This looks really good! That kind of nuts are in it? I made a poppy seed roll before that was amazing!

I love the poppyseed ones too!! There are walnuts in this one.

My mother grew up in northern Minnesota. Her best friends' mother made potica for special occassions. I have heard stories of her rolling out the dough so large that it was hanging off the the large farm house kitchen table. I would LOVE the recipe you used! I still remember getting a special treat once a year of home-made potica!

Homecook - Oh my word. Your picture made my heart skip a beat. That potica looks just like my mother's Christmas Hungarian nut roll. She made a poppy seed one just like it too. She used to soak the nuts in some sore of wine too. That picture brought back so many memories. Thanks. :)
