I just saw the Marlboro man sandwich recipe, which looks DELICIOUS, and that reminded me that I have a ridiculous amount of cube steak in my freezer. I did find a very good swiss steak recipe that I tried recently, but beyond that, we can only eat so much chicken fried steak. Does anyone have any good cube steak recipies? - Thanks!

Mini chicken fried steak is good on biscuits. You could make cube steak Parmesan...just like chicken parm only use the cube steak.

I find cube steak works great for my chicken fried steak. I haven't made it in a while, thanks for the reminder! ;)

I like to pan-fry it, then make some gravy for it. Chicken-fried steak!

I also use it pre-pan-fried and diced for Veggie Beef Soup.

You could slice it or cube it and brown it with some onion, garlic, thyme, etc. Make a gravy and serve over noodles like a stroganoff. Add some mushrooms too.

Great ideas! I just bought 1/4 a cow and have a bunch of cube steak too. Maybe I'll thaw it and check this thread again later. chicken fried steak sounds great but I'm trying not to add too many more calories to our meals considering that Christmas is in two days and we'll be eating like piggies.

I never had that option, spring. Did you say you didn't want a certain cut that they turned into the cube steaks? I've boughten fronts, rears and the whole half and never got a cube steak. That would have been nice.

Nope, I didn't ask for cube steaks but maybe my friend who organized the purchase did. We got lots of different cuts of meat and roasts, ground beef, steaks, etc. I am a little perturbed that they cut our standing rib roast into steaks though. I went out and bought a rib roast from the store for Christmas even though I have $250 worth of beef in the deep freezer. I don't think we actually divided it up the way some people do. We all bought into it and so we divided up the meat equally among ourselves. No one got just the front or just the rear or just the side.

Ouch! That would stink expecting a roast only to find steaks, not that the steaks won't go to good use.

We also bought a 1/4 cow, and that's how we ended up with so much cube steak! I did use some for the Marlboro Man sandwich recipe that someone posted on this site recently - great flavor! - my husband told me three or four times while we were eating how much he liked the flavor of the meat.

Hi springmama-Here's the link for a swiss steak recipe that I used some of my cube steak for:

I'm still looking for more recipes, so please post if you find something good! (And try it in the Marlboro Man sandwich too!)
