I read this article this morning - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/8373791.stm and was quite frankly amazed!

While I knew that mint tea was good for digestion etc I had no idea that it was an effective pain killer?

A mint trea grown in Brazil has been proven to be effective in pain relief if prepared properly! I wonder if I can get a plant and grow it here?????

Thanks for the link. I've always found that tea helps me relax when I'm experiencing muscle tension.

I don't believe that mint tea is a painkiller any more than I believe that those cold remedies on the market can help you get rid of a cold.

I suppose you have to try it to find out?

I know mint tea is a good digestion aid but have never tried it made this way as a pain killer! It is definately worth looking into as I would honestly prefer to be able to take medication for ailments that was home made rather than chemical and there is a lot out there that works!

I drink honey and lemon in hot water (with brandy if needed) for cold and flu like symptoms and it works for me... There are a few more as well!
