It sounds like you have a passion for food.
Do your children share the kitchen with you?
One of the best things you can do for them is introduce them to cooking.
I have way too many adults in my cooking classes that were told they were a bother in the kitchen when they were young, and they're still trying to overcome it.

It will be of great benefit to them later in life to share your enjoyment of food and cooking.
