I usually make 6 tubs of chili at a time. Two tubs go into the frig to be consumed within the next week/ ten days. Four tubs go into the freezer. The consistency of the two tubs in the frig is just right.....perfect. No complaints at all.
However, when I start to use the other four from the freezer, it's a different story. Upon defrosting, the consistency is awful. The tub becomes full of a watery liquid and no matter how often I drain the tub the watery liquid re-appears.
I know it has something to do with the frozen contents of the chili.....but it's as if the creamy sauce turns to water and just drains off. I need tips on what to do with the tubs that come out of the freezer and what I can do to retain or return to the original consistency.

Kind of hard to give help when we don't know what the ingredients are that are being frozen.

If there is a lot of water in the ingredients, that will freeze, expand and separate when frozen and of course will be visible.

The liquid ingredients are chicken broth, V8, and tomato sauce.

those should freeze just fine. what are you solid ingredients. I am not sure why you won't just post the ingredient list so we can help you more with this problem.

Sorry I took so long to respond:

Besides the 2 cans of chicken broth, 16 oz of tomato sauce, and 25 oz of
V-8, the other contents are:

3 small cans tomato paste
3 large onions
3 large green peppers
3 lb kidney beans
2 lb ground turkey 99% fat free
1 lb ground beef 93 % fat free
2 large cans diced tomatoes 16oz each
4 pkg McCormicks Chili seasoning
Misc seasonings.....garlic, onion salt, hot red pepper, etc

Like I said, the non-frozen chili is perfect.......the frozen tubs are watery.
