I love prawn cocktail, but was a bit fed up of the 70's retro version. We'd eaten out last week & I could definately taste something "extra" in my dish, it was horseradish sauce. After a few attempts I managed to recreate the dish without losing the delicate flavour of the prawns.

Sounds delicious. I love shrimp cocktail too, and I'm always looking for variations on the sauce. I'm an editor at RecipeLion (http://www.recipelion.com/), where we feature an array of seafood recipes. I love this unique red dipping sauce for shrimp cocktail:

Great idea with the horseradish for a kick. I often add tabasco, but will be trying out the horseradish option.
