Hi I was wondering if anyone had any tips on grilling food without a grill or bbq? Basically I am trying to get that oh so grilled taste without those tools (maybe useing the oven?)
Thanks

Yes Liketobake, the oven IS a good place to cook your favorite foods that would normally be done outdoours on the BBQ grill.
You can also get a reversablt griddle with has the ridges on one side to get that authentic grill mark look on some meats like chicken parts, burgers & franks.
Another item that you can use is a Geirge Foreman Grill which comes in various shapes and sizes. There's even one that's set up to look like the famous Webber Kettle Grill, only it is electric so that it can be used indoors and outdoors.
I also have the Rival BBQ Pit Crockpot Slow Cooker with makes tender juicy fall-off-the-bone babyback ribs, chicken and pork shoulder.
Use a little bit of Liquid Smoke on the meat to get that luscious authentic real down-home smoky favor and taste.

liquid smoke is some pretty cool stuff! If you don't know much about it, it is actually made from real smoke.

Yes.
A while back, I watched an episode on Food Detectives about a liquid smoke taste test.
They had theorized that there is no difference between meat seasoned with liquid smoke and meat cooked on the BBQ grill outdooors.
That ribs seasoned with liquid smoke is just as flavorful between the two.

IN College we took a garbage can lid and oven shelf and made our own grill. A little Kingsford and we were in BBQ HEAVEN.:D

Hope the garbage can lid was clean and was never used to cover trash!

Hope the garbage can lid was clean and was never used to cover trash! We were in COLLEGE, and had the answers for everything (even though we often didn't know the questions).
We just figured the fire would burn off the nasties. Somehow we managed to live to talk about it. :D

Even though heat DOES help destroy germs & bacteria, I'd have bleached it anyway just to make sure!
