I believe that first and foremost you are responsible for your health (http://uwharriefarm.typepad.com/uwharrie_farm/health-and-nutrition-whose-responsibility.html)and the health of your children. Your purpose in purchasing food should be to nourish your body. Remember, it has to last for a lifetime. It is certainly not true that if food is good for you it does not taste good. Nutritious food can also be delicious food. Good health begins with what we do and do not put into our bodies. It is very natural for us to consider taste, appearance, cost and convenience when we purchase food but do you also consider what nutritional value or harmful additives it may contain?
Neither we, as individuals, nor the government can afford to fund healthcare as long as we abuse our bodies.

Raw vegetables are the best (when you cook vegetables, much of the vitamins are lost). There are some 'super foods' such as raw spinach, steamed broccoli, and fresh tomatoes that can be easily incorporated into a tasty salad. Have it along with any meal and it's bound to do good things for you.

The diet should be balanced and nutritious as well it is very much important for good health. Green leafy vegetables and fruits contains all the nutrients. Dairy products and chicken, egg and fish also contains appropriate nutrients.

Well I think that home made food is the best.Eating outside occasionally is ok.
But one should avoid eating out especially in summers.The shops tend to store the food and the ones which do not have many customers, can serve you food that can be 1 day old.
Also if you are planning for weight loss then you must cook your food yourself :)

Nothing is wrong with this comment. The Nutrition talk is usually boring...sometimes people don't get appropriate word to explain the Nutrition thoughts of them But that is really nice post.

Some fast food is good for you, such as the salads, fruits and veggies, as well as chicken, provided that it is baked.
It id it fried, then it should be fried in oil that has no transfats.

I am completely agree with you. You are right that Healthy eating is important to nourish our body. A person’s diet is made up of the food they eat. Nutrition is the way that the food people eat nourishes their bodies.
