Short on time but want to make healthy food recipes (http://healthyrecipies.info) for your family? Here are three yummy examples.
Pasta with Spring Vegetables
Spring is a prime time for fresh crisp vegetables. Cook your favorite pasta until it's nearly done. For every serving add one cup of raw vegetables. For example: if you're serving six people you would add six cups of veggies. Spring vegetables could include fresh or frozen peas, asparagus, baby carrots, and cherry tomatoes. Add the veggies to the pasta about 3 to 4 minutes before it's done. You want the vegetables cooked but still crisp. Remove from the heat and strain. Add a handful of your favorite fresh herbs, basil, thyme, parsley are all good choices and a tablespoon of virgin olive oil for each serving. Toss. Add some crunchy bread and dinner is ready.
Citrus Chicken Breasts.
For each serving use one chicken breast with the skin on. Slice a lemon, lime and orange. Place a slice of each under the skin directly on the meat of the breast. Place the breasts on the remaining slices of fruit. Squeeze additional citrus juice over the breasts. Salt and Pepper to taste. Bake in a slow oven 300 degrees for about an hour until the chicken is done. Slow roasting preserves the juiciness of the chicken. It also means the sugar in the citrus juices won't burn.
Serve with brown rice that you've baked in the oven in a separate pan and a fresh crisp green salad. The dressing for the salad can be 1/2 cup of citrus juice, 1/4 cup of olive oil, salt and pepper to echo the flavors of the chicken.
Grilled Veggies
Each serving is about 1 to 1 1/2 pounds of veggies. That sounds like a lot but veggies shrink as they're cooked. Select from zucchini, carrots, endive, yes you can grill endive, eggplant, portabella mushrooms, celery, yams, red onions, and white potatoes. Rinse and scrub the veggies. You don't have to peel. Clean and scrub veggies. Cut in half or in two inch chunks. Marinate in balsamic vinegar to which you've added crushed garlic, pepper, and fresh herbs.
Grill the vegetables directly on the grill if they're cut in half. Or thread the the chunks onto skewers and grill as veggie kabobs.

Any weight training you do, any supplements you buy, will be a waste until you are able to effectively feed the body. Healthy eating is not about strict nutrition philosophies, staying unrealistically thin, or depriving yourself of the foods you love. A Healthy eating plan ensures you get necessary Proteins, Carbohydrates, Fat, Minerals and Vitamins apart from the required fiber, antioxidants and fluids.

Yes, you are so right! I agree 100%. That's why I like to say that the best weight loss diet is simply to eat healthy.
The reason we fight with overweight is because we eat way too much "empty" calories we don't need and therefore too little nutrients. If you eat healthy, that means you eat the right amount of everything, giving your body all nutrients it needs and only, really only the amount of calories it needs. If you are overweight and change your diet to healthy eating, then you will eat less calories, your diet will be more balanced and you will lose weight (unless your weight problem is caused by something different than eating habits).
It will take longer than going on a crash diet but will be healthier (losing more than 1 or 2 kilos per week is actually unhealthy and anyways mostly water and muscle) and more effective in the long run, because eating healthy continuously will do a great job in preventing you from picking up weight again.
Another thing that I consider very important is to understand that eating healthy includes more than just eating healthy food. You also need to work on your eating habits. For example, you should not eat when you are not hungry, just because you are bored or sad or frustrated or tired. Eating is for sustaining your body. Enjoy what you eat, but don't eat just for the sake of enjoying.
It's also a good habit to drink a glass of water with every meal. On the one hand, this will also fill you and prevent you from overeating. On the other hand, I figured this is an excellent way to ensure you drink enough. We should drink 2-3 liters a day. But be honest, do you really do it?
Hope this helps!
P.S.: Here are some books that can help you when you want to lose weight by eating healthy:
Healing Gourmets Your Plate Your Fate (http://www.the-healing-power-of-food.blogspot.com): A guide to healthy eating, with the aim of preventing severe illnesses like heart attack, diabetes, cancer and more, losing weight and feeling better. The book focuses on the healing power of food
The Slim Habit (http://weightlosshealthydiet.blogspot.com): A weight loss program of a different kind, teaching you new eating and lifestyle habits instead of putting you on a diet.

I have various healthy meals on my blog: http://www.shar-on-nutrition.com/?page_id=4
I have recipes for vegetarian stuffed peppers, etc. All of the recipes I cook do not contain red meat, pork, veal or duck. Please let me know what you think of the recipes! :)
I love to fix Heart Healthy menus and here are some suggestions -
1. Eliminate solid fats from your diet - use Olive Oil instead
2. Choose low-fat protein such as egg whites or egg substitutes, fish or poultry, soy beans or soy products, lean ground meats
3. Use fresh vegetables and fruits in your recipes
4. Use only whole grains
5. Reduce salt - If you slowly cut back and eventually cut it out - you will never miss it. I've not had salt in my house since I was 18 and I'm now 48.
6. Make meals ahead of time. This allows you to really make heart healthy meals and know ahead what your going to eat. I use a whole chicken and cut it up and make meals for the next few days. This keeps me eating healthy even when I'm short on time.
If you follow these basic rules - you will be eating with your heart in mind.
