I've been enjoy spicy Thai food lately with Gewurztraminer.
Gewurztraminer has a spicy aroma and fruity flavors of peach, apricot, tropical fruits, and lychee. Riesling also goes well with spicy foods. The light sweetness blends nicely with the spiciness.
Pinot Noir is my favorite with mushrooms, duck, grilled salmon, or lamb. Pinot's herbal silky qualities goes well with these foods. Pinot Noirs are full bodied but not heavy. The earthy character goes especially well with mushrooms.
Cheers!
