Hello :)
First Post.

I bought a puddings book by the national trust and in some of them it asks you to steam the pudding in a pudding bowl.

I have my pudding bowl but I have no idea how to 'steam' cook using it. I have a pan it just about fits in and the pan lid will go on just about, but could I get some advice on what else to do?

Thanks.

I made pudding on steam many times and is very delicious as compare to pudding mix. For this you need to put some water in a deep sauce pan and boil it, when water starts bubbling, put your pudding pan onto the water make sure that water level should only touch the sides of the bowl and below its top surface so that it may not enter into the pudding mixture, reduce to flame to very low and cover the pan. Pudding takes at least 30- 40 minutes to cook you can check weather it is done or not, by inserting a knife on the pudding bowl if it comes clean then pudding is done.
