like most mixers. it advertises what you need. the question is, will you use it to its potential? it sounds like an average mixer for the usual baking/whipping. you should compare it it to relevant products to see the differences between prices/applications. if the price is more, then get the cheaper, it depends what use the mixer is for...
higher price (usually) means better quality.
lower price means it will (usually) break or go wrong, depending on how much it is used.
it all really depends on what the machine is used for...
hope this helps

A quick search shows that model is a 300-watt model and sale price $50-$60 higher than your price. Same model number. You may want to check why yours is only 250 watts. That might be why you are getting a better(?) deal.
Any Kitchen-Aid Mixer is going to be a lifetime purchase. They are good machines but you need to make sure your demands on it are less than its max or you will burn it out.

Amazon sells the same food processor for $202.49. But as I see it, it is a good buy. Strong metal and rigid stand. But theirs is the 300 W version.

$202.49? too expensive but I believe it's good to use as I heard from many people who own one...

I paid as much as $500 for a stand mixer - the Electrolux Assistant DLX-2000. But it's loaded with features that will put most other mixers to shame!
For instance, it has a huge whopping heavy 8-qt stainless steel bowl, the largest one for any home stand mixer. And it can make bread dough recipes containing up to 5lbs of flour. Very impressive for a home stand mixer. This machine is no slouch in the muscle department!!
Cbabbman;
The K'Aid K45SSWH that you saw at your local Walmart store costs less than what I paid for my K-45SS (same model) almost 23 years ago. I paid $165 for mine. I thought that was cheap back then! As for reliability and durability, mine is STILL going strong after all those years! And I've used it almost every day because I used to bake and sell cakes.
So, as to your question on whether you are getting a good deal, I'd say that you would be getting a GREAT one. It more than likely will give you many years of service like mine has done and continues to do.
I also have the K-5SSWH which is also very reliable! Stick with K'Aid as your #1 choice.

That's a STEAL. The K45SS is a decent one too. Take it!
