A good deal only if you buy your groceries from the Safeway-branded stores. It is after all a grocery store rewards program.

I shop at Ralphs and use their rewards program.

Most of the supermarkets have saving schemes, but that's exactly what they are...schemes, the whole idea being "keep shopping at our supermarket". I don't do this...reason? I can buy most the items I need either at Aldi (milk, eggs,butter veg, loo rolls, kitchen rolls etc) or the market, then I just use the bigger supermarkets for a few items. Our shopping bill has reduced 30% by doing this.
