Yes, I watched it. I've also recorded it as well.
It was very good!
The episode titled "Starting Over" will re-air once more again tomorrow evening at 6pm.
So you'll have another chance to watch / record it.
Then a new episode airs on Sunday night. But the grid shows the same episode re-airing 3 times again, and that just can't be!! I think that's wrong!
Go here; http://www.foodnetwork.com to get the latest info. Thank you.

Watched Starting over the other day. What a Great Show! I think this might even stay on. It is a great Idea too, to get these kids off the street and teach them manners, dicipline and a craft they can use to support themselves. Great Guy Chef Jeff!

It IS great, but Adam has issues and he needs to either get with the program or get lost!
He seems to keep on picking fights with Alonzo for some ungodly reason. Seems as though every friggen week he's acting up like a spoiled and selfish little boy!! Giving Alonzo dirty mean and nasty looks like he wants to hit him!

Been watching this and can appreciate the effort and responsibility Jeff is taking on and the opportunity he is providing for these kids if they can manage to pull it together. Adam seems to have the most issues with his anger problems, yet in the meantime he also seems to have the most potential to realize and do something about it. Instead of focusing on whether or not "someone disses him" he should focus on not giving them the time of day that they are not worth....such as Shante.
She really needs to go. Jeff's mantra is "everyone deserves a second chance"....She is really starting to prove him wrong. She got her second chance, JUST BY BEING SELECTED to be on the show...
Her third chance after the dancing display,
her fourth chance causing the problems she does in the kitchen,
her fifth chance showing up late 4 times,
her sixth chance causing someone else to be late,
her seventh chance lying about her car issues,
her eighth chance producing bogus receipts,
Her BS tears and problems would have gotten her booted anywhere else after the 2nd or 3rd time. There are just some people who aren't deserving of the opportunity they get handed to them, and they just take up space blocking people who would jump at the chance and follow through. Shante is not worthy or deserving of this opportunity. Everyone has their problems. You either work through them, or just make excuses. Shante not only makes excuses, the reinforces them with her lies and even goes on to manufacture lame evidence to try and support it.
Jeff should not only save himself the trouble of dealing with her constant excuses, he is also, as head chef, obligated to spare his other 5 apprentices from her disruptive and negative influence - they have enough problems to overcome already, they don't need one of their own team adding hers on to theirs and bringing the rest of them down.
She's dead weight Jeff, cut the line and let it sink.
Replace her with a runner up who would otherwise appreciate the chance.

Well said, and I have to agree. The rules were laid out for everyone, and all should have to follow them or realize the consequences. Life is one accountability encounter after another, and if you own up to your mistakes and change your behavior to be focused on positive actions and positive change, life can only get better. But, some folks never seem to understand that.

Yeah, It now DOES appear as though Shante IS out the door.
Dancing in front of the customers? Reciepts with no phone numbers? No proof of a police report? No reciept from that? Showing up late 4 times? Claims that her vehicle was vandalized, but later it appears to be fine? Nothing adds up!!
She also got into an argument with Adam over a space at the prep table and the knives.
Adam, for the first time, seems to be mending his ways and holding his own! I hope he continues and gets better. He was at first, giving Alonzo a hard time and mean and nasty dirty looks. But they seemed to have settled their issues with each other.
I at times, feel bad for him. Seems as though he's been through quite a lot. He had to go outside several times to cool off while smoking a cigarette. He sometimes lets his Latino heat temper get the better of him. What I've begun to like is that he sometimes acts like a little boy who is lost and can't seem to find his way, then Jeff is there like a father figure to sooth him and tries to talk to him, show him some love and encouragement and then they hug each other. I want him to win this thing and move to the next level!
Alonzo seems to be under some stress now. He lost his cool trying to prepare a dish that somehow didn't come out too well.
Kathy seems to be a rubber mouth. She just can't seem to stop pointing fingers at the others!!

So the project is over and I am disappointed in several levels.
First, the network was having broadcast issues so I missed about a third of it due to complications getting the signal out and it dropped several times on key issues for me.
Second, was still seeing Shante in the lineup. She played that entire show and took people for fools. She did not deserve to have been granted the scholarship - which leads me to...
Third, that they all were granted the scholarship, and how only a few of them are even taking advantage of it, and how others haven't even started moving forward with the opportunity.
In retrospect, this entire project was a waste of everyone's time, and where the scholarships are involved, a waste of taxpayers dollars. With no disrespect to Jeff and his mentors for their time and accomplishments, this venture was a failure.
I find Top Chef to be a better show and with the last season we had and its catastrophes, that's saying a lot for Top Chef....At least Jeff was trying to help people.

I think Adam sort of mended his ways enough to complete the progrm, which he did.
He hasn't taken the scolarship yet though, which I think he SHOULD so that he can work toward bettering hid lifestyle so that things will be less stressful for him. :)
Shante DID bullcrap her way around and danced all over jeff's head. He should have stuck to his guns and MADE her produce legit documents for her srew-ups!! I found that to be very tacky on her part.
