Hi all,

I have a full set of global knives but cannot get them to be properly sharp, like when they were new. I have tried a stone one which you fill with water but wasn't impressed by it at all.

I got an e-mail from this site I had ordered a bluetooth kit from about this new knife sharpener but was wondering what you use and what you recommend.

The one they sent was

AnySharp | Sharpens Any Knife or Scissor (http://www.itjustworks.co.uk/anysharp-knife-sharpener.html)

Help!!! I am dying to get my knives properly sharp again

Hi
You need to bite the bullet & get yourself a good whetstone & start practicing sharpening those global knives. Here is a link to a brief article on sharpening global knives (http://www.global-knives-online.co.uk)- it also has a couple of good links to videos on Youtube about sharpening knives. The links are halfway down the page.

All I can say is Practice! it will come with time.

There really is no substitute for a good oil whetstone and though it takes time to master it's worth the effort as you will sharpen your knives properly without destroying them.
